We acknowledge we have the privilege of working and living on Epekwitk, the traditional, ancestral, and contemporary lands of the Mi’kmaq people, lands that were never conquered, surrendered, given up, or ceded by the Mi’kmaq, who have lived here for over 12,000 years. Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), Mi’kma’ki, is covered by the historic Treaties of Peace and Friendship.
